Rosso Salento

Salento IGT is one of the most commonly used IGT in Puglia, southern Italy. Described as ’The heel of the Italian boot’, Salento is a limestone based sub-peninsula that divides the Gulf of Taranto to the west from the Strait of Otranto on the east, with the Adriatic Sea to the north and the Ionian Sea to the south. Their core grape varieties- Primitivo, Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera – are key in Salento IGT wines.

Rosso Salento represents the long-established styles of the region: powerful, dry, rustic reds.
